Re: Android Boxes?
The last AppleTV to support downloads was the AppleTV 2. However, theres still plenty of support and updates for kodi on jailbroken iPhones, iPads and iPods

Re: Android Boxes?
Im running two t8 android boxes with kodi.
Bang on for movies. As for regular sky channels i wouldnt ditch sky or virgin until you have got the gist of kodi and its repos.
Great bits of kit but need updating regular...

Re: Android Boxes?
If you have an Apple TV already and an iPhone you could Jailbreak your phone (really simple to do) and then download Kodi and Moviebox to your phone and airplay it to the AppleTV.

Whomail me if you want a step by step guide on how to jailbreak etc.

Re: Android Boxes?

Cheers....looks decent and probably worth the extra £20-30.

I'm assuming Kodi is the app / software that gives you links to movies etc?

I've got Apple TV , so I guess it works in the same way except you don't pay as much for the content?

I've got a Raspberry Pi and an Amazon Fire TV, with Kodi on both. The Fire TV packs more punch, in my view. Tesco sell them for £79. To install Kodi on the Fire TV, you'll need access to a computer and wireless connection, but it's very easy to do and only takes 10 minutes to complete. Just google 'sideload Kodi to Fire TV'. Then, you can download some free football add-ons to Kodi. I use UK Turk - loads of great streams. Or you can pay for guaranteed high quality streams. The sportsmania site is good value.

Can these things be operated by a person with very limited techy skills?

Re: Android Boxes?
Its worth spending a bit more and getting a decent one to start with. It will save you buying a new one down the line for things like 4k etc

I have this one:

Its also worth buying a bluetooth keyboard remote such as this which will make it much easier to use:

Re: Android Boxes?
I've got Sky Sports, BT etc via Virgin but no Sky Atlantic or Movies etc....so would be worth the initial outlay for box sets etc and all the other stuff he reckons he gets.
